Hitsugaya Drawing Tips
"For Hitsugaya, it's always inmportant to remember that his eyes aren't all around circular. I start off by drawing a straight line at the top and than I make a curved line at the end of the straight line that comes down below the straight line at a fair distance.
Then I thicken the top line and give the curve at the end of the eye a bit more volume. I try to create a 'flick' type of design at the end, givin the eye the point at the side he usually had.
Then I draw a half cirlce between the straight line and the bottom line. Once that done I add a small crest shaped line in the middle of the semi-circle and than add some highlights. The crest shape become an oval once I fill in for pupil" by
"What I do first is draw at least one of the bigger spikes on the side of his head first. This is because I find that the majority of his spikes sort of overlap each other, in the sense that one spike starts off at some other spot on another one, so it's best to have a larger one to start with.
It's also good to note that a lot of his spikes are not triangular (sorta like Ichigo's are), but curve, have a dip in them, and then swoop down to the next spike
Once that first spike is done, I get to the other ones. I usually make the spikes on the side of his head big, with some smaller ones to help with transition, and the spikes on the top and bottom smaller and a little more triangular in shape, again, to help "move along" the hair. The top ones in particular help me with this, as I usually draw them in the direction I want to hair to go, having one or two go one way and another few another way. With the bottom ones, I draw one or two going upwards with any remaining ones going down.
Then comes the forelock. Toshiro's forelock goes down to around where his nose is, and starts about in the middle point of his hairline. From that point in his hairline, I draw a slightly curving line going upwards, then a slightly straighter one going left, and then larger, swooping line that slightly covers his left eye (though on paper it would be the right one). Then I go up, go back down (a little bit more down than the first time), and then make a curved line going up, making the two points. I stop mid way going up, and then go back to the first line of the forelock. I draw from that line, gradually making a very curved one, and then going down to connect with the line that I stopped mid way on. I put a few lines in the space between the curved line and his hairline and boom, I finished the forelock, along with his hair.
Down there is a drawing (that actually looks a little decent even though it's on a computer, which is weird cuz I suck with drawing with them) that should resemble a little bit of how it looks whenever I draw Toshiro's hair, along with words that help show what I mean by "curves, dips, and swoops," in case I wasn't clear enough. Sorry if it confuses people more/ doesn't have the forelock/ doesn't help at all ;w; by

HitsuHina Project: Calendar/ Upcoming Contests?
°˖✧ The HitsuHina 2013 Calendar is completed! ✧˖°
I personally would like to thank each and every one of the members who participated, especially those who pitched in at the last moments. The founder, Senna-x (https://www.deviantart.com/senna-x), and I both apologize to anyone who wished this project would have been completed in the year of 2013. This was the first time the group has done something so involving, and though we experienced delays, I for one feel like the HitsuHina Project 2013 went very well. We had such amazing artists and writers participate; it truly brings happiness to my heart scrolling and admiring the main Project's J

Erm, I THINK I might have some tips on drawing Toshiro's (old) hairstyle. I'm bad at explaining things though, so sorry if it doesn't help ;w; (Note: This is if you have already done his head, and just need his hair and forelock)
What I do first is draw at least one of the bigger spikes on the side of his head first.
